22/81 – Glorious Mysteries
We contemplate Jesus ascending into heaven before the eyes of His disciples. He blesses them and is taken up, promising the coming of the Spirit. The cloud receives Him, and the apostles stand gazing upward.
This mystery teaches hope. Christ departs to prepare a place. Hope stretches the heart toward eternity, teaching detachment from the transient. The Christian looks heavenward, toward destiny.
