6:1 Weiter erging das Wort des HERRN an mich so:

6:1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

6:2 »Menschensohn, richte deine Blicke gegen die Berge Israels und sprich folgende Weissagungen gegen sie aus:

6:2 Son of man set thy face towards the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them.

6:3 ›Ihr Berge Israels, hört das Wort Gottes, des HERRN! So spricht Gott der HERR zu den Bergen und Hügeln, zu den Rinnsalen und Tälern: Fürwahr ich lasse das Schwert über euch kommen und mache eurem Höhendienst ein Ende!

6:3 And say: Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, and to the rocks, and the valleys: Behold, I will bring upon you the sword, and I will destroy your high places.

6:4 Eure Altäre sollen zerstört und eure Sonnensäulen zertrümmert werden, und eure Erschlagenen will ich vor eure Götzen hinwerfen,

6:4 And I will throw down your altars, and your idols shall be broken in pieces: and I will cast down your slain before your idols.

6:5 ja ich will die Leichen der Söhne Israels vor ihre Götzen hinwerfen und eure Gebeine rings um eure Altäre verstreuen!

6:5 And I will lay the dead carcasses of the children of Israel before your idols: and I will scatter your bones round about your altars,

6:6 Überall, wo ihr wohnt, sollen die Ortschaften verwüstet werden und die Opferhöhen verödet werden, damit eure Altäre verlassen und zerstört dastehen und eure Götzen zertrümmert werden und verschwinden, eure Sonnensäulen umgehauen und eure Machwerke vernichtet werden;

6:6 In all your dwelling places. The cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be thrown down, and destroyed, and your altars shall be abolished, and shall be broken in pieces: and your idols shall be no more, and your temples shall be destroyed, and your works shall be defaced.

6:7 und Durchbohrte sollen in eurer Mitte zu Boden fallen, damit ihr erkennt, daß ich der HERR bin.‹«

6:7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you: and you shall know that I am the Lord.

6:8 »›Doch will ich einige von euch übriglassen, indem von euch Schwertentronnene unter den Heidenvölkern leben werden, wenn ihr in die Länder zerstreut seid.

6:8 And I will leave in you some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when I shall have scattered you through the countries.

6:9 Diese von euch Entronnenen werden dann unter den Heidenvölkern, wohin sie als Gefangene weggeführt worden sind, meiner gedenken, wenn ich ihr Herz, das treulos von mir abgefallen war, und ihre Augen, die buhlerisch auf ihre Götzen gerichtet waren, zerbrochen habe. Dann werden sie vor sich selbst Abscheu empfinden wegen der Missetaten, die sie mit all ihren Greueln begangen haben,

6:9 And they that are saved of you shall remember me amongst the nations, to which they are carried captives: because I have broken their heart that was faithless, and revolted from me: and their eyes that went a fornicating after their idols: and they shall be displeased with themselves because of the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

6:10 und sie werden erkennen, daß ich, der HERR, nicht umsonst gedroht habe, ihnen solches Unheil widerfahren zu lassen.‹«

6:10 And they shall know that I the Lord have not spoken in vain that I would do this evil to them.

6:11 So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: »Schlage die Hände zusammen und stampfe mit dem Fuße und rufe ›Wehe!‹ über all die schlimmen Greuel des Hauses Israel, deretwegen sie durch das Schwert, durch Hunger und durch Pest umkommen sollen!

6:11 Thus saith the Lord God: Strike with thy hand and stamp with thy foot, and say: Alas, for all the abominations of the evils of the house of Israel: for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

6:12 Wer in der Ferne weilt, soll durch die Pest sterben, und wer in der Nähe ist, soll durch das Schwert fallen, und wer dann noch übriggeblieben und mit dem Leben davongekommen ist, soll Hungers sterben: so will ich meinen Grimm an ihnen voll auswirken!

6:12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence: and he that is near, shall fall by the sword: and he that remaineth, and is besieged, shall die by the famine: and I will accomplish my indignation upon them.

6:13 Alsdann werdet ihr erkennen, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ihre Erschlagenen inmitten ihrer Götzen rings um ihre Altäre daliegen auf jedem hohen Hügel und auf allen Berggipfeln, unter jedem grünenden Baume und unter jeder dichtbelaubten Terebinthe, an den Stätten, wo sie all ihren Götzen lieblichen Opferduft gespendet haben.

6:13 And you shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain shall be amongst your idols, round about your altars, in every high hill, and on all the tops of mountains, and under every woody tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they burnt sweet smelling frankincense to all their idols.

6:14 Ja, ich will meine Hand gegen sie ausstrecken und das Land zur Wüste und Wildnis machen von der Steppe an bis nach Ribla hin, überall, wo sie wohnen, damit sie erkennen, daß ich der HERR bin.«

6:14 And I will stretch forth my hand upon them: and I will make the land desolate, and abandoned from the desert of Deblatha in all their dwelling places: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
