14:1 Weiter gab der HERR dem Mose folgende Weisungen:

14:1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

14:2 »Folgende Vorschriften gelten für einen Aussätzigen am Tage, da er für rein erklärt wird: Er soll zu dem Priester geführt werden;

14:2 This is the rite of a leper, when he is to be cleansed. He shall be brought to the priest:

14:3 und zwar muß der Priester vor das Lager hinausgehen. Wenn der Priester ihn dann untersucht und dabei findet, daß der bösartige Aussatz an dem Aussätzigen zur Heilung gekommen ist,

14:3 Who going out of the camp, when he shall find that the leprosy is cleansed,

14:4 so soll der Priester anordnen, daß man für den, der als rein erklärt werden soll, zwei lebende reine Vögel sowie ein Stück Zedernholz, Karmesinfäden und Ysop bringe.

14:4 Shall command him that is to be purified, to offer for himself two living sparrows, which it is lawful to eat, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

14:5 Sodann soll der Priester anordnen, daß man den einen Vogel über einem irdenen Gefäß mit Quell- oder Flußwasser schlachte.

14:5 And he shall command one of the sparrows to be immolated in an earthen vessel over living waters.

14:6 Den lebenden Vogel aber nebst dem Zedernholz, dem Karmesin und dem Ysop soll er nehmen und dies alles, auch den lebenden Vogel, in das Blut des über dem Quell- oder Flußwasser geschlachteten Vogels eintauchen.

14:6 But the other that is alive, he shall dip, with the cedar wood, and the scarlet and the hyssop, in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated:

14:7 Hierauf soll er den, welcher für rein vom Aussatz erklärt werden soll, siebenmal damit besprengen und ihn so reinigen; den lebenden Vogel aber soll er ins freie Feld fliegen lassen.

14:7 Wherewith he shall sprinkle him that is to be cleansed seven times, that he may be rightly purified. And he shall let go the living sparrow, that it may fly into the field.

14:8 Hierauf soll der, welcher sich reinigen läßt, seine Kleider waschen, sein gesamtes Haar abscheren und ein Wasserbad nehmen: dann ist er rein. Danach darf er zwar wieder ins Lager kommen, muß aber noch sieben Tage außerhalb seines Zeltes bleiben.

14:8 And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hair of his body, and shall be washed with water: and being purified he shall enter into the camp, yet so that he tarry without his own tent seven days.

14:9 Am siebten Tage sodann soll er alle seine Haare abermals scheren, Kopfhaar, Bart und Augenbrauen, überhaupt sein gesamtes Haar soll er abscheren, seine Kleider waschen und seinen Leib im Wasser baden: dann ist er rein.«

14:9 And on the seventh day he shall shave the hair of his head, and his beard and his eyebrows, and the hair of all his body. And having washed again his clothes, and his body,

14:10 »Hierauf soll er am achten Tage zwei fehlerlose (männliche) Lämmer und ein einjähriges, fehlerloses weibliches Lamm nehmen, außerdem drei Zehntel Epha Feinmehl, das mit Öl gemengt ist, zum Speisopfer, und ein Log Öl.

14:10 On the eighth day, he shall take two lambs without blemish, and an ewe of a year old without blemish, and three tenths of flour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil apart.

14:11 Der Priester aber, der die Reinigung vollzieht, soll denjenigen, der sich reinigen läßt, samt jenen Opfergaben vor den HERRN an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes stellen.

14:11 And when the priest that purifieth the man, hath presented him, and all these things before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony:

14:12 Dann nehme der Priester das eine (männliche) Lamm, bringe es als Schuldopfer dar nebst dem Log Öl und webe beides als Webeopfer vor dem HERRN.

14:12 He shall take a lamb, and offer it for a trespass offering with the sextary of oil. And having offered all before the Lord,

14:13 Dann schlachte er das andere Lamm an der Stätte, wo man die Sündopfer und die Brandopfer zu schlachten pflegt, an heiliger Stätte; denn wie das Sündopfer, so gehört auch das Schuldopfer dem Priester: es ist hochheilig.

14:13 He shall immolate the lamb, where the victim for sin is wont to be immolated, and the holocaust, that is, in the holy place. For as that which is for sin, so also the victim for a trespass offering pertaineth to the priest: it is holy of holies.

14:14 Hierauf nehme der Priester etwas von dem Blut des Schuldopfers und streiche es dem, der sich reinigen läßt, an das rechte Ohrläppchen und an den Daumen seiner rechten Hand sowie an die große Zehe seines rechten Fußes.

14:14 And the priest taking of the blood of the victim that was immolated for trespass, shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot.

14:15 Dann nehme der Priester etwas von dem Log Öl und gieße es in seine linke Hand,

14:15 And he shall pour of the sextary of oil into his own left hand,

14:16 tauche dann seinen rechten Finger in das Öl, das sich in seiner linken Hand befindet, und sprenge von dem Öl mit seinem Finger siebenmal vor den HERRN.

14:16 And shall dip his right finger in it, and sprinkle it before the Lord seven times.

14:17 Von dem übrigen Öl aber, das sich in seiner Hand befindet, streiche der Priester dem, der sich reinigen läßt, etwas an das rechte Ohrläppchen und an den Daumen seiner rechten Hand sowie an die große Zehe seines rechten Fußes auf die Stelle, wo sich schon das Blut des Schuldopfers befindet.

14:17 And the rest of the oil in his left hand, he shall pour upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, and upon the blood that was shed for trespass:

14:18 Was dann von dem Öl in der Hand des Priesters noch übrig ist, das tue er dem, der sich reinigen läßt, auf den Kopf, um ihm so Sühne vor dem HERRN zu erwirken.

14:18 And upon his head.

14:19 Hierauf richte der Priester das Sündopfer her und erwirke dadurch dem, welcher sich reinigen läßt, Sühne wegen seiner Unreinheit; darauf schlachte er das Brandopfertier.

14:19 And he shall pray for him before the Lord, and shall offer the sacrifice for sin. Then shall he immolate the holocaust.

14:20 Wenn dann der Priester das Brandopfer und das Speisopfer auf dem Altar dargebracht und ihm so Sühne erwirkt hat, so ist der Betreffende rein.«

14:20 And put it on the altar with the libations thereof: and the man shall be rightly cleansed.

14:21 »Wenn er aber arm ist und sein Vermögen nicht ausreicht, so soll er nur ein einziges Lamm als Schuldopfer zur Vollziehung der Webe nehmen, damit ihm Sühne erwirkt werde, ferner nur ein einziges Zehntel Feinmehl, das mit Öl gemengt ist, zum Speisopfer und ein Log Öl,

14:21 But if he be poor, and his hand cannot find the things aforesaid: he shall take a lamb for an offering for trespass, that the priest may pray for him, and a tenth part of flour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil:

14:22 dazu zwei Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben, je nach seinem Vermögen, und zwar die eine zum Sündopfer, die andere zum Brandopfer.

14:22 And two turtles or two young pigeons, of which one may be for sin, and the other for a holocaust.

14:23 Er bringe sie am achten Tage, nachdem er für rein erklärt worden ist, zu dem Priester an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes vor den HERRN.

14:23 And he shall offer them on the eighth day of his purification to the priest, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord.

14:24 Der Priester nehme dann das zum Schuldopfer bestimmte Lamm sowie das Log Öl und webe beides als Webeopfer vor dem HERRN.

14:24 And the priest receiving the lamb for trespass, and the sextary of oil, shall elevate them together.

14:25 Hierauf schlachte man das zum Schuldopfer bestimmte Lamm, und der Priester nehme etwas von dem Blut des Schuldopfers und streiche es dem, der sich reinigen läßt, an das rechte Ohrläppchen und an den Daumen seiner rechten Hand sowie an die große Zehe seines rechten Fußes.

14:25 And the lamb being immolated, he shall put of the blood thereof upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot.

14:26 Dann gieße der Priester etwas von dem Öl in seine linke Hand

14:26 But he shall pour part of the oil into his own left hand,

14:27 und sprenge mit seinem rechten Finger von dem Öl, das sich in seiner linken Hand befindet, siebenmal vor den HERRN.

14:27 And dipping the finger of his right hand in it, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord.

14:28 Dann streiche der Priester etwas von dem Öl, das sich in seiner Hand befindet, dem, welcher sich reinigen läßt, an das rechte Ohrläppchen und an den Daumen seiner rechten Hand sowie an die große Zehe seines rechten Fußes auf die Stelle, wo sich schon das Blut des Schuldopfers befindet.

14:28 And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, in the place of the blood that was shed for trespass.

14:29 Was dann von dem Öl in der Hand des Priesters noch übrig ist, das tue er dem, der sich reinigen läßt, auf den Kopf, um ihm so Sühne vor dem HERRN zu erwirken.

14:29 And the other part of the oil that is in his left hand, he shall pour upon the head of the purified person, that he may appease the Lord for him.

14:30 Hierauf richte der Priester die eine von den Turteltauben oder von den jungen Tauben her, für deren Beschaffung das Vermögen des Betreffenden ausgereicht hat,

14:30 And he shall offer a turtle, or young pigeon:

14:31 die eine zum Sündopfer, die andere zum Brandopfer samt dem Speisopfer. So erwirke der Priester dem, der sich reinigen läßt, Sühne vor dem HERRN.«

14:31 One for trespass, and the other for a holocaust, with their libations.

14:32 Dies sind die Vorschriften in betreff eines Aussätzigen, dessen Vermögen bei seiner Reinigung für die regelmäßigen Opfer nicht zureicht.

14:32 This is the sacrifice of a leper, that is not able to have all things that appertain to his cleansing.

14:33 Hierauf gebot der HERR dem Mose und Aaron folgendes:

14:33 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

14:34 »Wenn ihr in das Land Kanaan kommt, das ich euch zum Eigentum geben will, und ich in dem Lande, das euch alsdann gehört, an einem Hause einen Aussatzschaden entstehen lasse,

14:34 When you shall come into the land of Chanaan, which I will give you for a possession, if there be the plague or leprosy in a house:

14:35 so soll der Eigentümer des Hauses hingehen und dem Priester die Anzeige machen: ›Es zeigt sich mir an meinem Hause etwas, das wie Aussatzschaden aussieht.‹

14:35 He whose house it is, shall go and tell the priest, saying: It seemeth to me, that there is the plague of leprosy in my house,

14:36 Dann soll der Priester anordnen, daß man, noch ehe er selbst zur Besichtigung des Schadens hineingeht, das Haus ausräume, damit nicht alles, was sich im Hause befindet, unrein werde; hierauf soll der Priester hingehen, um das Haus zu besichtigen.

14:36 And he shall command, that they carry forth all things out of the house, before he go into it, and see whether it have the leprosy, let all things become unclean that are in the house. And afterwards he shall go in to view the leprosy of the house.

14:37 Wenn er dann bei der Besichtigung des Ausschlags findet, daß der Ausschlag sich an den Wänden des Hauses in Gestalt grünlicher oder rötlicher Vertiefungen zeigt und diese tiefer liegend erscheinen als die sie umgebende Wand,

14:37 And if he see in the walls thereof as it were little dints, disfigured with paleness or redness, and lower than all he rest:

14:38 so soll der Priester aus dem Hause hinaus an den Eingang des Hauses gehen und das Haus auf sieben Tage verschließen.

14:38 He shall go out of the door of the house, and forthwith shut it up seven days,

14:39 Wenn der Priester dann am siebten Tage wiederkommt und bei der Besichtigung findet, daß der Schaden sich an den Wänden des Hauses weiter verbreitet hat,

14:39 And returning on the seventh day, he shall look upon it. If he find that the leprosy is spread,

14:40 so soll der Priester anordnen, daß man die Steine, an denen sich der Schaden zeigt, herausbreche und sie außerhalb der Ortschaft an einen unreinen Ort hinwerfe.

14:40 He shall command, that the stones wherein the leprosy is, be taken out, and cast without the city into an unclean place:

14:41 Das Haus aber lasse er im Inneren überall abkratzen, und den abgekratzten Bewurf schütte man außerhalb der Ortschaft an einen unreinen Ort hin.

14:41 And that the house be scraped on the inside round about, and the dust of the scrapings be scattered without the city into an unclean place:

14:42 Dann soll man andere Steine nehmen und sie an die Stelle der ausgebrochenen Steine einsetzen; auch soll man andern Lehm nehmen und das Haus damit bewerfen.

14:42 And that other stones be laid in the place of them that were taken away, and the house be plastered with other mortar.

14:43 Wenn dann der Ausschlag wiederkehrt und am Hause ausbricht, nachdem man die Steine ausgebrochen und das Haus abgekratzt und neu beworfen hat,

14:43 But if after the stones be taken out, and the dust scraped off, and it be plastered with other earth.

14:44 so soll der Priester wiederkommen. Wenn er dann bei der Besichtigung findet, daß der Ausschlag am Hause weiter um sich gegriffen hat, so ist es ein bösartiger Aussatz am Hause: es ist unrein.

14:44 The priest going in perceive that the leprosy is returned, and the walls full of spots, it is a lasting leprosy, and the house is unclean.

14:45 Man soll deshalb das Haus niederreißen, seine Steine, sein Holzwerk und allen Bewurf des Hauses, und soll dies alles außerhalb der Ortschaft an einen unreinen Ort schaffen.

14:45 And they shall destroy it forthwith, and shall cast the stones and timber thereof, and all the dust without the town into an unclean place.

14:46 Und wer in das Haus hineingegangen ist, solange es verschlossen ist, soll bis zum Abend als unrein gelten,

14:46 He that entereth into the house when it is shut, shall be unclean until evening,

14:47 und wer in dem Hause geschlafen hat, muß seine Kleider waschen; ebenso muß der, welcher in dem Hause gegessen hat, seine Kleider waschen.

14:47 And he that sleepeth in it, and eateth any thing, shall wash his clothes.

14:48 Wenn aber der Priester hineingeht und bei der Besichtigung findet, daß der Ausschlag am Hause, nachdem das Haus neu beworfen worden ist, nicht weiter um sich gegriffen hat, so soll der Priester das Haus für rein erklären; denn der Schaden ist geheilt.

14:48 But if the priest going in perceive that the leprosy is not spread in the house, after it was plastered again, he shall purify it, it being cured.

14:49 Er soll dann zur Entsündigung des Hauses zwei Vögel nehmen, ferner ein Stück Zedernholz, Karmesinfäden und Ysop,

14:49 And for the purification thereof he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

14:50 und soll den einen Vogel über einem irdenen Gefäß mit Quell- oder Flußwasser schlachten.

14:50 And having immolated one sparrow in an earthen vessel, over living waters,

14:51 Dann nehme er das Zedernholz, den Ysop, den Karmesin und den lebenden Vogel und tauche das alles in das Blut des geschlachteten Vogels und in das Quell- oder Flußwasser, besprenge damit das Haus siebenmal

14:51 He shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living sparrow, and shall dip all in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated, and in the living water: and he shall sprinkle the house seven times.

14:52 und entsündige so das Haus mit dem Blut des Vogels und mit dem Quell- oder Flußwasser sowie mit dem lebenden Vogel und dem Zedernholz, mit dem Ysop und dem Karmesin;

14:52 And shall purify it as well with the blood of the sparrow, as with the living water, and with the living sparrow, and with the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet.

14:53 den lebenden Vogel aber lasse er außerhalb der Ortschaft ins freie Feld fliegen. Wenn er so dem Hause Sühne erwirkt hat, so ist es rein.«

14:53 And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house: and it shall be rightly cleansed.

14:54 Dies sind die Vorschriften bezüglich aller Arten von Aussatz und bezüglich des Grindes,

14:54 This is the law of every kind of leprosy and stroke.

14:55 ferner bezüglich des Aussatzes an Kleidungsstücken und an Häusern,

14:55 Of the leprosy of garments and houses,

14:56 ferner bezüglich der Anschwellungen sowie des Ausschlags und der hellen Flecken,

14:56 Of a scar and of blisters breaking out of a shining spot, and when the colours are diversely changed:

14:57 um Belehrung darüber zu geben, wann etwas für unrein und wann für rein zu erklären ist. Dies sind die Vorschriften über den Aussatz.

14:57 That it may be known when a thing is clean or unclean.
