22:1 Weiter zeigte er mir einen Strom von Wasser des Lebens, klar wie Kristall, der aus dem Throne Gottes und des Lammes hervorfloß.

22:1 And he shewed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

22:2 Auf beiden Seiten des Stromes, halbwegs zwischen ihm und den Straßen der Stadt, standen Lebensbäume, die zwölfmal Früchte tragen: in jedem Monat bringen sie ihre Früchte, und die Blätter der Bäume dienen den Völkern zur Heilung.

22:2 In the midst of the street thereof, and on both sides of the river, was the tree of life, bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruits every month: the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations.

22:3 Es wird dort auch nichts mehr vom Bann Getroffenes geben, vielmehr wird der Thron Gottes und des Lammes in ihr stehen, und seine Knechte werden ihm dienen

22:3 And there shall be no curse any more: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it. And his servants shall serve him.

22:4 und werden sein Angesicht schauen, und sein Name wird auf ihren Stirnen stehen.

22:4 And they shall see his face: and his name shall be on their foreheads.

22:5 Es wird dort auch keine Nacht mehr geben, und man bedarf keines Lampenlichts und keines Sonnenlichts; denn Gott der Herr wird ihnen leuchten, und sie werden als Könige in alle Ewigkeit herrschen.

22:5 And night shall be no more. And they shall not need the light of the lamp, nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall enlighten then. And they shall reign for ever and ever.

22:6 Dann sagte er zu mir: »Diese Worte sind zuverlässig und wahrhaftig, und der Herr, der Gott der Prophetengeister, hat seinen Engel gesandt, um seinen Knechten anzuzeigen, was in Bälde geschehen muß.«

22:6 And he said to me: These words are most faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to shew his servant the things which must be done shortly.

22:7 »Und wisse wohl: ich komme bald! Selig ist, wer die Worte der Weissagung dieses Buches festhält!«

22:7 And: Behold I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book.

22:8 Und ich, Johannes, bin es, der dies gehört und gesehen hat; und als ich es gehört und gesehen hatte, warf ich mich dem Engel, der mir dies (alles) gezeigt hatte, zu Füßen nieder, um ihn anzubeten;

22:8 And I, John, who have heard and seen these things. And, after I had heard and seen, I fell down to adore before the feet of the angel who shewed me the things.

22:9 aber er sagte zu mir: »Nicht doch! Ich bin (nur) ein Mitknecht von dir und deinen Brüdern, den Propheten, sowie von denen, welche die Worte dieses Buches festhalten. Bete Gott an!«

22:9 And he said to me: See thou do it not. For I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets and of them that keep the words of the prophecy of this book. Adore God.

22:10 Dann fuhr er fort: »Lege die Worte der Weissagung dieses Buches nicht unter Siegel! Denn die Zeit (ihrer Erfüllung) ist nahe.

22:10 And he saith to me: Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book. For the time is at hand.

22:11 Wer Unrecht tut, möge noch weiter Unrecht tun und der Schuldbefleckte sich weiterhin beflecken; aber auch der Gerechte möge weiterhin Gerechtigkeit üben und der Heilige sich weiterhin heiligen!«

22:11 He that hurteth, let him hurt still: and he that is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is just, let him be justified still: and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still.

22:12 »Siehe, ich komme bald und mein Lohn mit mir, um einem jeden nach seinem Werk zu vergelten.

22:12 Behold, I come quickly: and my reward is with me, to render to every, man according to his works.

22:13 Ich bin das A und das O, der Erste und der Letzte, der Anfang und das Ende.

22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

22:14 Selig sind die, welche ihre Kleider waschen, damit sie ein Anrecht an den Baum des Lebens erlangen und durch die Tore in die Stadt eingehen (können)!

22:14 Blessed are they that wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb: that they may have a right to the tree of life and may enter in by the gates into the city.

22:15 Draußen sind die Hunde und die Zauberer, die Unzüchtigen und die Mörder, die Götzendiener und alle, welche die Lüge lieben und üben.«

22:15 Without are dogs and sorcerers and unchaste and murderers and servers of idols and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.

22:16 »Ich, Jesus, habe meinen Engel gesandt, um euch dieses vor den Gemeinden zu bezeugen. Ich bin der Wurzelsproß vom Geschlecht Davids, der helle Morgenstern.«

22:16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star.

22:17 Und der Geist und die Braut sagen: »Komm!«, und wer es hört, der sage: »Komm!«, und wen da dürstet, der komme! Wer Verlangen trägt, der empfange Wasser des Lebens umsonst!

22:17 And the spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come. And he that will, let him take the water of life, freely.

22:18 Ich (Johannes) bezeuge jedem, der die Worte der Weissagung dieses Buches hört: Wenn jemand zu ihnen etwas hinzufügt, so wird Gott auf ihn die Plagen legen, von denen in diesem Buche geschrieben steht;

22:18 For I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues written in this book.

22:19 und wenn jemand von den Worten dieses Buches der Weissagung etwas wegnimmt, so wird Gott ihm seinen Anteil am Baume des Lebens und an der heiligen Stadt wegnehmen, von denen in diesem Buche geschrieben steht.

22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book.

22:20 Es spricht der, welcher dies bezeugt: »Ja, ich komme bald!« »Amen, komm, Herr Jesus!«

22:20 He that giveth testimony of these things, saith: Surely, I come quickly: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

22:21 Die Gnade des Herrn Jesus sei mit allen.

22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
