98:1 Ein Psalm. Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied! Denn Wunderbares hat er vollbracht: den Sieg hat seine Rechte ihm verschafft und sein heiliger Arm.

98:1 A psalm for David himself. Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: because he hath done wonderful things. His right hand hath wrought for him salvation, and his arm is holy.

98:2 Der HERR hat kundgetan sein hilfreiches Tun, vor den Augen der Völker seine Gerechtigkeit offenbart.

98:2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: he hath revealed his justice in the sight of the Gentiles.

98:3 Er hat gedacht seiner Gnade und Treue gegenüber dem Hause Israel: alle Enden der Erde haben geschaut die Heilstat unsers Gottes.

98:3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

98:4 Jauchzet dem HERRN, alle Lande, brecht in Jubel aus und spielt!

98:4 Sing joyfully to God, all the earth; make melody, rejoice and sing.

98:5 Spielet zu Ehren des HERRN auf der Zither, auf der Zither und mit lautem Gesang,

98:5 Sing praise to the Lord on the harp, on the harp, and with the voice of a psalm:

98:6 mit Trompeten und Posaunenschall! Jauchzt vor dem HERRN, dem König!

98:6 With long trumpets, and sound of cornet. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king:

98:7 Es tose das Meer und was darin wimmelt, der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner!

98:7 Let the sea be moved and the fullness thereof: the world and they that dwell therein.

98:8 Die Ströme sollen in die Hände klatschen, die Berge allesamt jubeln

98:8 The rivers shall clap their hands, the mountains shall rejoice together

98:9 vor dem HERRN, wenn er kommt, zu richten die Erde. Richten wird er den Erdkreis mit Gerechtigkeit und die Völker nach Gebühr.

98:9 At the presence of the Lord: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with equity.
