7:1 And the Lord said to him: Go in, thou and all thy house, into the ark: for thee I have seen just before me in this generation.

7:1 Dann sagte der HERR zu Noah: »Gehe du mit deiner ganzen Familie in die Arche, denn dich habe ich als gerecht vor mir erfunden unter diesem Geschlecht.

7:2 Of all clean beasts take seven and seven, the male and the female.

7:2 Von allen reinen Tieren nimm je sieben Paare zu dir, immer ein Männchen und sein Weibchen, aber von den unreinen Tieren nur je zwei Stück, ein Männchen und sein Weibchen;

7:3 But of the beasts that are unclean two and two, the male and the female. Of the fowls also of the air seven and seven, the male and the female: that seed may be saved upon the face of the whole earth.

7:3 auch von den Vögeln des Himmels je sieben Paare, Männchen und Weibchen, damit Nachkommenschaft auf der ganzen Erde am Leben erhalten bleibt;

7:4 For yet a while, and after seven days, I will rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights: and I will destroy every substance that I have made, from the face of the earth.

7:4 denn es sind nur noch sieben Tage, dann will ich es vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte hindurch auf die Erde regnen lassen und will den ganzen Bestand an Lebewesen, die ich geschaffen habe, vom ganzen Erdboden vertilgen.«

7:5 And Noe did all things which the Lord had commanded him.

7:5 Da tat Noah alles genau so, wie der HERR es ihm geboten hatte.

7:6 And he was six hundred years old, when the waters of the flood overflowed the earth.

7:6 Noah war aber sechshundert Jahre alt, als die Sintflut über die Erde kam.

7:7 And Noe went in and his sons, his wife and the wives of his sons with him into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

7:7 Da ging Noah und mit ihm seine Söhne, sein Weib und seine Schwiegertöchter in die Arche hinein vor den Gewässern der Sintflut.

7:8 And of beasts clean and unclean, and of fowls, and of every thing that moveth upon the earth,

7:8 Von den reinen und von den unreinen Vierfüßlern sowie von den Vögeln und von allem, was auf dem Erdboden kriecht,

7:9 Two and two went in to Noe into the ark, male and female, as the Lord had commanded Noe.

7:9 kamen immer zwei, ein Männchen und ein Weibchen, zu Noah in die Arche hinein, wie Gott ihm geboten hatte.

7:10 And after the seven days were passed, the waters of the flood overflowed the earth.

7:10 Und nach Ablauf der sieben Tage, da kamen die Gewässer der Sintflut über die Erde.

7:11 In the six hundredth year of the life of Noe, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the floodgates of heaven were opened:

7:11 Es war im sechshundertsten Lebensjahre Noahs, am siebzehnten Tage des zweiten Monats: an diesem Tage brachen alle Quellen der großen Tiefe auf, und die Fenster des Himmels öffneten sich,

7:12 And the rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

7:12 und der Regen strömte vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte hindurch auf die Erde.

7:13 In the selfsame day Noe, and Sem, and Cham, and Japheth, his sons: his wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark.

7:13 An eben diesem Tage ging Noah mit seinen Söhnen Sem, Ham und Japheth und mit seinem Weibe und seinen drei Schwiegertöchtern in die Arche hinein,

7:14 They and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle in their kind, and every thing that moveth upon the earth, according to its kind, and every fowl according to its kind, all birds, and all that fly,

7:14 sie und alle Arten der wilden Tiere und alle Arten des Viehs und alle Arten des Gewürms, das auf der Erde kriecht, auch alle Arten der Vögel, alles, was Flügel hatte und beschwingt war;

7:15 Went in to Noe into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein was the breath of life.

7:15 die kamen zu Noah in die Arche hinein, je ein Paar von allen Geschöpfen, die Lebensodem in sich hatten;

7:16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in on the outside.

7:16 und die da hineinkamen, waren immer ein Männchen und ein Weibchen von allem Fleische, wie Gott ihm geboten hatte. Hierauf schloß der HERR hinter ihm zu.

7:17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth: and the waters increased, and lifted up the ark on high from the earth.

7:17 Da kam die Sintflut vierzig Tage lang über die Erde, und das Wasser stieg und hob die Arche empor, so daß sie hoch über der Erde schwamm.

7:18 For they overflowed exceedingly: and filled all on the face of the earth: and the ark was carried upon the waters.

7:18 Und das Wasser nahm gewaltig zu und stieg hoch über der Erde, so daß die Arche auf der weiten Flut dahinfuhr.

7:19 And the waters prevailed beyond measure upon the earth: and all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.

7:19 Und das Wasser stieg immer noch höher über der Erde, so daß alle höchsten Berge, die unter dem ganzen Himmel sind, überflutet wurden.

7:20 The water was fifteen cubits higher than the mountains which it covered.

7:20 Fünfzehn Ellen hoch ging das Wasser über sie hin, so daß die Berge überflutet wurden.

7:21 And all flesh was destroyed that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle, and of beasts, and of all creeping things that creep upon the earth: and all men.

7:21 Damals kamen alle Geschöpfe um, die auf der Erde sich regten: was an Vögeln, an Vieh und an wilden Tieren da war, sowie alles Gewürm, von dem die Erde wimmelte, und auch alle Menschen:

7:22 And all things wherein there is the breath of life on the earth, died.

7:22 alles, in dessen Nase ein Hauch von Lebensodem war, das starb, alles, soweit es auf dem Trockenen lebte.

7:23 And he destroyed all the substance that was upon the earth, from man even to beast, and the creeping things and fowls of the air: and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noe only remained, and they that were with him in the ark.

7:23 So vertilgte Gott alle Geschöpfe, die auf dem ganzen Erdboden waren, vom Menschen bis zum Vieh, bis zum Gewürm und bis zu den Vögeln des Himmels: sie wurden alle von der Erde vertilgt; nur Noah blieb übrig und was sich bei ihm in der Arche befand.

7:24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

7:24 Das Wasser aber stieg unaufhörlich über der Erde hundertundfünfzig Tage lang.
