101:1 The prayer of the poor man, when he was anxious, and poured out his supplication before the Lord.

101:1 Von David, ein Psalm. Von Gnade und Recht will ich singen, dir, o HERR, will ich spielen!

101:2 And I will understand in the unspotted way, when thou shalt come to me. I walked in the innocence of my heart, in the midst of my house.

101:2 Achten will ich auf fehllosen Wandel

• wann wirst du zu mir kommen? In Herzensreinheit will ich wandeln im Innern meines Hauses.

101:3 I will not set before my eyes any unjust thing: I hated the workers of iniquities.

101:3 Ich will nicht mein Auge gerichtet halten auf schandbare Dinge; das Tun der Abtrünnigen hasse ich: es soll mir nicht anhaften.

101:4 The perverse heart did not cleave to me: and the malignant, that turned aside from me, I would not know.

101:4 Ein falsches Herz soll fern von mir bleiben, einen Bösen will ich nicht kennen.

101:5 The man that in private detracted his neighbour, him did I persecute. With him that had a proud eye, and an unsatiable heart, I would not eat.

101:5 Wer seinen Nächsten heimlich verleumdet, den will ich zum Schweigen bringen; wer stolze Augen hat und ein hoffärtig Herz, den werde ich nicht ertragen.

101:6 My eyes were upon the faithful of the earth, to sit with me: the man that walked in the perfect way, he served me.

101:6 Meine Augen sollen blicken auf die Treuen im Lande: die sollen bei mir wohnen; wer auf frommen Wege wandelt, der soll mir dienen.

101:7 He that worketh pride shall not dwell in the midst of my house: he that speaketh unjust things did not prosper before my eyes.

101:7 Nicht darf inmitten meines Hauses weilen, wer Trug verübt; wer Lügen redet, soll nicht bestehn vor meinen Augen.

101:8 In the morning I put to death all the wicked of the land: that I might cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of the Lord.

101:8 Jeden Morgen will ich unschädlich machen alle Frevler im Lande, um auszurotten aus der Stadt des HERRN alle Übeltäter.
