45:1 Unto the end, for the sons of Core, for the hidden.

45:1 Dem Musikmeister, nach (der Singweise = Melodie) »Lilien«; von den Korahiten ein Lehrgedicht, ein Liebeslied.

45:2 Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips; therefore hath God blessed thee for ever.

45:2 Das Herz wallt mir auf von lieblichen Worten: dem Könige weihe ich meine Lieder; meine Zunge gleicht dem Griffel eines geübten Schreibers.

45:3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou most mighty.

45:3 Du bist so schön wie sonst kein Mensch auf Erden: Anmut ist ausgegossen auf deine Lippen; darum hat Gott dich gesegnet für immer.

45:4 With thy comeliness and thy beauty set out, proceed prosperously, and reign. Because of truth and meekness and justice: and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully.

45:4 Gürte dein Schwert dir an die Seite, du Held, dazu deine herrlich schimmernde Wehr!

45:5 Thy arrows are sharp: under thee shall people fall, into the hearts of the king's enemies.

45:5 Glück auf! Fahre siegreich einher für die Sache der Wahrheit, zum Schutz des Rechts, und furchtbare Taten lasse dein Arm dich schauen!

45:6 Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of uprightness.

45:6 Deine Pfeile sind scharf – Völker sinken unter dir hin –: sie dringen den Feinden des Königs ins Herz.

45:7 Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

45:7 Dein Thron, ein Gottesthron, steht immer und ewig ein gerechtes Zepter ist dein Herrscherstab.

45:8 Myrrh and stacte and cassia perfume thy garments, from the ivory houses: out of which

45:8 Du liebst Gerechtigkeit und hassest den Frevel; darum hat dich Gott, dein Gott, gesalbt mit Freudenöl wie keinen deinesgleichen.

45:9 The daughters of kings have delighted thee in thy glory. The queen stood on thy right hand, in gilded clothing; surrounded with variety.

45:9 Von Myrrhe und Aloe duften, von Kassia alle deine Kleider; aus Elfenbeinpalästen erfreut dich Saitenspiel.

45:10 Hearken, O daughter, and see, and incline thy ear: and forget thy people and thy father's house.

45:10 Königstöchter befinden sich unter deinen Geliebten; die Gattin steht dir zur Rechten im Goldschmuck von Ophir.

45:11 And the king shall greatly desire thy beauty; for he is the Lord thy God, and him they shall adore.

45:11 Höre, Tochter, blick her und neige dein Ohr: Vergiß dein Volk und deines Vaters Haus;

45:12 And the daughters of Tyre with gifts, yea, all the rich among the people, shall entreat thy countenance.

45:12 und trägt der König nach deiner Schönheit Verlangen

• er ist ja dein Herr –: so huldige ihm!

45:13 All the glory of the king's daughter is within in golden borders,

45:13 Die Bürgerschaft von Tyrus wird mit Gaben dir nahen, um deine Gunst mühen sich die Reichsten des Volkes.

45:14 Clothed round about with varieties. After her shall virgins be brought to the king: her neighbours shall be brought to thee.

45:14 Eitel Pracht ist die Königstochter drinnen, aus gewirktem Gold besteht ihr Gewand;

45:15 They shall be brought with gladness and rejoicing: they shall be brought into the temple of the king.

45:15 in buntgestickten Kleidern wird sie zum König geführt; Jungfraun, ihr Gefolge, ihre Gespielinnen, werden zu dir geleitet;

45:16 Instead of thy fathers, sons are born to thee: thou shalt make them princes over all the earth.

45:16 unter Freudenrufen und Jubel werden sie hingeführt, ziehen ein in den Palast des Königs.

45:17 They shall remember thy name throughout all generations. Therefore shall people praise thee for ever; yea, for ever and ever.

45:17 An deiner Väter Stelle werden deine Söhne treten; du wirst sie zu Fürsten bestellen im ganzen Land.

45:18 Ich will ein Gedächtnis stiften deinem Namen bei allen kommenden Geschlechtern; darum werden die Völker dich preisen immer und ewig.
