83:1 in finem pro torcularibus filiis Core psalmus

83:2 For lo, thy enemies have made a noise: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

83:2 quoniam ecce inimici tui sonaverunt et qui oderunt te extulerunt caput

83:3 They have taken a malicious counsel against thy people, and have consulted against thy saints.

83:3 super populum tuum malignaverunt consilium et cogitaverunt adversus sanctos tuos

83:4 They have said: Come and let us destroy them, so that they be not a nation: and let the name of Israel be remembered no more.

83:4 dixerunt venite et disperdamus eos de gente et non memoretur nomen Israhel ultra

83:5 For they have contrived with one consent: they have made a covenant together against thee,

83:5 quoniam cogitaverunt unianimiter simul adversum te testamentum disposuerunt

83:6 The tabernacle of the Edomites, and the Ishmahelites: Moab, and the Agarens,

83:6 tabernacula Idumeorum et Ismahelitae Moab et Aggareni

83:7 Gebal, and Ammon and Amalec: the Philistines, with the inhabitants of Tyre.

83:8 Yea, and the Assyrian also is joined with them: they are come to the aid of the sons of Lot.

83:9 Do to them as thou didst to Madian and to Sisara: as to Jabin at the brook of Cisson.

83:10 Who perished at Endor: and became as dung for the earth.

83:11 Make their princes like Oreb, and Zeb, and Zebee, and Salmana. All their princes,

83:12 Who have said: Let us possess the sanctuary of God for an inheritance.

83:12 qui dixerunt hereditate possideamus sanctuarium Dei

83:13 O my God, make them like a wheel; and as stubble before the wind.

83:13 Deus meus pone illos ut rotam sicut stipulam ante faciem venti

83:14 As fire which burneth the wood: and as a flame burning mountains:

83:14 sicut ignis qui conburit silvam sicut flamma conburens montes

83:15 So shalt thou pursue them with thy tempest: and shalt trouble them in thy wrath.

83:15 ita persequeris illos in tempestate tua et in ira tua turbabis eos

83:16 Fill their faces with shame; and they shall seek thy name, O Lord.

83:16 imple facies illorum ignominia et quaerent nomen tuum Domine

83:17 Let them be ashamed and troubled for ever and ever: and let them be confounded and perish.

83:17 erubescant et conturbentur in saeculum saeculi et confundantur et pereant

83:18 And let them know that the Lord is thy name: thou alone art the most High over all the earth.

83:18 et cognoscant quia nomen tibi Dominus tu solus Altissimus in omni terra
