47:1 canticum psalmi filiis Core secunda sabbati

47:1 A psalm of a canticle, for the sons of Core, on the second day of the week.

47:2 quoniam Dominus excelsus terribilis rex magnus super omnem terram

47:2 For the Lord is high, terrible: a great king over all the earth.

47:3 subiecit populos nobis et gentes sub pedibus nostris

47:3 He hath subdued the people under us; and the nations under our feet.

47:4 elegit nobis hereditatem suam speciem Iacob quam dilexit diapsalma

47:4 He hath chosen for us his inheritance, the beauty of Jacob which he hath love.

47:5 ascendit Deus in iubilo Dominus in voce tubae

47:5 God is ascended with jubilee, and the Lord with the sound of trumpet.

47:6 psallite Deo nostro psallite psallite regi nostro psallite

47:6 Sing praises to our God, sing ye: sing praises to our king, sing ye.

47:7 quoniam rex omnis terrae Deus psallite sapienter

47:7 For God is the king of all the earth: sing ye wisely.

47:8 regnavit Deus super gentes Deus sedit super sedem sanctam suam

47:8 God shall reign over the nations: God sitteth on his holy throne.

47:9 principes populorum congregati sunt cum Deo Abraham quoniam Dei fortes terrae vehementer elevati sunt

47:9 The princes of the people are gathered together, with the God of Abraham: for the strong gods of the earth are exceedingly exalted.
