Biblia Sacra (Vulgata Clementina)
61:1 in finem pro Idithun psalmus David
61:1 Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of David.
61:2 a finibus terrae ad te clamavi dum anxiaretur cor meum in petra exaltasti me deduxisti me
61:2 To thee have I cried from the ends of the earth: when my heart was in anguish, thou hast exalted me on a rock. Thou hast conducted me;
61:3 quia factus es spes mea turris fortitudinis a facie inimici
61:3 For thou hast been my hope; a tower of strength against the face of the enemy.
61:4 inhabitabo in tabernaculo tuo in saecula protegar in velamento alarum tuarum diapsalma
61:4 In thy tabernacle I shall dwell for ever: I shall be protected under the covert of thy wings.
61:5 quoniam tu Deus meus exaudisti orationem meam dedisti hereditatem timentibus nomen tuum
61:5 For thou, my God, hast heard my prayer: thou hast given an inheritance to them that fear thy name.
61:6 dies super dies regis adicies annos eius usque in diem generationis et generationis
61:6 Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years even to generation and generation.
61:7 permanet in aeternum in conspectu Dei misericordiam et veritatem quis requiret eius
61:7 He abideth for ever in the sight of God: his mercy and truth who shall search?
61:8 sic psalmum dicam nomini tuo in saeculum saeculi ut reddam vota mea de die in diem
61:8 So will I sing a psalm to thy name for ever and ever: that I may pay my vows from day to day.
