130:1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, HERR, zu dir:

130:1 A gradual canticle. Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:

130:2 »Allherr, höre auf meine Stimme, laß deine Ohren merken auf mein lautes Flehen!«

130:2 Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.

130:3 Wenn du, HERR, Sünden behalten willst, o Allherr, wer kann bestehn!

130:3 If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.

130:4 Doch bei dir ist die Vergebung, auf daß man dich fürchte.

130:4 For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on his word:

130:5 Ich harre des HERRN, meine Seele harrt, und ich warte auf sein Wort;

130:5 my soul hath hoped in the Lord.

130:6 meine Seele harrt auf den Allherrn sehnsuchtsvoller als Wächter auf den Morgen.

130:6 From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.

130:7 Sehnsuchtsvoller als Wächter auf den Morgen harre, Israel, auf den HERRN! Denn beim HERRN ist die Gnade und Erlösung bei ihm in Fülle,

130:7 Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption.

130:8 und er wird Israel erlösen von allen seinen Sünden.

130:8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
