111:1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just, and in the congregation.

111:1 Halleluja! Preisen will ich den HERRN von ganzem Herzen im Kreise der Frommen und in der Gemeinde.

111:2 Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills.

111:2 Groß sind die Werke des HERRN, erforschenswert für alle, die Gefallen an ihnen haben.

111:3 His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever.

111:3 Ruhmvoll und herrlich ist sein Tun, und seine Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewig bestehn.

111:4 He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord:

111:4 Er hat ein Gedächtnis seiner Wundertaten gestiftet; gnädig und barmherzig ist der HERR.

111:5 He hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant:

111:5 Speise hat er denen gegeben, die ihn fürchten; er gedenkt seines Bundes ewiglich.

111:6 He will shew forth to his people the power of his works.

111:6 Sein machtvolles Walten hat er kundgetan seinem Volk, indem er ihnen das Erbe der Heiden gab.

111:7 That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment.

111:7 Die Werke seiner Hände sind Treue und Recht; unwandelbar sind alle seine Gebote,

111:8 All his commandments are faithful: confirmed for ever and ever, made in truth and equity.

111:8 festgestellt für immer, für ewig, gegeben mit Treue und Redlichkeit.

111:9 He hath sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name:

111:9 Erlösung hat er seinem Volk gesandt, seinen Bund auf ewig verordnet; heilig und furchtgebietend ist sein Name.

111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.

111:10 Die Furcht des HERRN ist der Weisheit Anfang, eine treffliche Einsicht für alle, die sie üben: sein Ruhm besteht in Ewigkeit.
