113:1 Praise the Lord, ye children: praise ye the name of the Lord.

113:1 Halleluja! Lobet, ihr Knechte des HERRN, lobet den Namen des HERRN!

113:2 Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.

113:2 Gepriesen sei der Name des HERRN von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!

113:3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.

113:3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobt der Name des HERRN!

113:4 The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.

113:4 Erhaben über alle Völker ist der HERR, den Himmel überragt seine Herrlichkeit!

113:5 Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:

113:5 Wer ist dem HERRN gleich, unserm Gott, der da thront in der Höhe,

113:6 And looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?

113:6 der niederschaut in die Tiefe, im Himmel und auf Erden?

113:7 Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill:

113:7 Er hebt aus dem Staub den Geringen empor und erhöht aus dem Schmutz den Armen,

113:8 That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.

113:8 um ihn sitzen zu lassen neben Edlen, neben den Edlen seines Volks.

113:9 Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.

113:9 Er verleiht der kinderlosen Gattin Hausrecht, macht sie zur fröhlichen Mutter von Kindern. Halleluja!
