24:1 On the first day of the week, a psalm for David. The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof: the world, and all they that dwell therein.

24:1 Von David, ein Psalm. Dem HERRN gehört die Erde und ihre Fülle, der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner;

24:2 For he hath founded it upon the seas; and hath prepared it upon the rivers.

24:2 denn er hat auf Meeren sie gegründet und über Strömen sie festgestellt.

24:3 Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place?

24:3 Wer darf hinaufgehn zum Berge des HERRN, wer stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte?

24:4 The innocent in hands, and clean of heart, who hath not taken his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbour.

24:4 Wer schuldlos ist an Händen und reinen Herzens, wer nie den Sinn auf Täuschung richtet, und wer nicht betrügerisch schwört:

24:5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Saviour.

24:5 der wird Segen empfangen vom HERRN und Gerechtigkeit vom Gott seines Heils.

24:6 This is the generation of them that seek him, of them that seek the face of the God of Jacob.

24:6 Dies ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm verlangt, die dein Angesicht suchen, Gott Jakobs. SELA.

24:7 Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in.

24:7 Hebt hoch, ihr Tore, eure Häupter und öffnet euch weit, ihr uralten Pforten, daß der König der Herrlichkeit einziehe!

24:8 Who is this King of Glory? the Lord who is strong and mighty: the Lord mighty in battle.

24:8 »Wer ist denn der König der Herrlichkeit?« Der HERR, gar stark und ein Held, der HERR, ein Held in der Schlacht!

24:9 Lift up your gates, O ye princes, and be ye lifted up, O eternal gates: and the King of Glory shall enter in.

24:9 Hebt hoch, ihr Tore, eure Häupter und öffnet euch weit, ihr uralten Pforten, daß der König der Herrlichkeit einziehe!

24:10 Who is this King of Glory? the Lord of hosts, he is the King of Glory.

24:10 »Wer ist denn der König der Herrlichkeit?« Der HERR der Heerscharen, der ist der König der Herrlichkeit! SELA.
