48:1 Unto the end, a psalm for the sons of Core.

48:1 Ein Lied, ein Psalm von den Korahiten.

48:2 With the joy of the whole earth is mount Sion founded, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king.

48:2 Groß ist der HERR und hoch zu preisen in unsers Gottes Stadt, auf seinem heiligen Berge.

48:3 In her houses shall God be known, when he shall protect her.

48:3 Herrlich ragt empor, die Wonne der ganzen Erde, der Zionsberg, der wahre Götterberg, die Stadt eines großen Königs.

48:4 For behold the kings of the earth assembled themselves: they gathered together.

48:4 Gott hat in ihren Palästen sich kundgetan als eine feste Burg.

48:5 So they saw, and they wondered, they were troubled, they were moved:

48:5 Denn siehe, die Könige hatten sich versammelt, waren vereint herangezogen;

48:6 Trembling took hold of them. There were pains as of a woman in labour.

48:6 doch als sie’s sahen, waren sie betroffen, erschraken, flohen bestürzt davon;

48:7 With a vehement wind thou shalt break in pieces the ships of Tharsis.

48:7 Zittern erfaßte sie dort, Angst wie ein Weib in Wehen.

48:8 As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever.

48:8 Durch einen Oststurm zertrümmertest du die stolzen Tharsisschiffe.

48:9 We have received thy mercy, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

48:9 Wie wir’s gehört, so haben wir’s nun gesehen in der Stadt des HERRN der Heerscharen, unsres Gottes Stadt: Gott läßt sie auf ewig feststehn. SELA.

48:10 According to thy name, O God, so also is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of justice.

48:10 Wir gedenken, o Gott, deiner Gnade inmitten deines Tempels.

48:11 Let mount Sion rejoice, and the daughters of Juda be glad; because of thy judgments, O Lord.

48:11 Wie dein Name, o Gott, so reicht auch dein Ruhm bis an die Enden der Erde; mit Gerechtigkeit ist deine Rechte gefüllt.

48:12 Surround Sion, and encompass her: tell lye in her towers.

48:12 Des freue sich der Zionsberg, jubeln mögen die Töchter Judas um deiner Gerichte willen!

48:13 Set your hearts on her strength; and distribute her houses, that ye may relate it in another generation.

48:13 Umkreist den Zion, umwandelt ihn rings und zählt seine Türme;

48:14 For this is God, our God unto eternity, and for ever and ever: he shall rule us for evermore.

48:14 betrachtet genau seine Bollwerke, mustert seine Paläste, damit ihr dem künftgen Geschlecht erzählet,

48:15 daß dies ist Gott, unser Gott: immer und ewig wird er uns führen [bis zum Tode].
