48:1 Unto the end, a psalm for the sons of Core.

48:1 in finem filiis Core psalmus

48:2 With the joy of the whole earth is mount Sion founded, on the sides of the north, the city of the great king.

48:2 fundatur exultatione universae terrae montes Sion latera aquilonis civitas regis magni

48:3 In her houses shall God be known, when he shall protect her.

48:3 Deus in domibus eius cognoscitur cum suscipiet eam

48:4 For behold the kings of the earth assembled themselves: they gathered together.

48:4 quoniam ecce reges congregati sunt convenerunt in unum

48:5 So they saw, and they wondered, they were troubled, they were moved:

48:5 ipsi videntes sic admirati sunt conturbati sunt commoti sunt

48:6 Trembling took hold of them. There were pains as of a woman in labour.

48:6 tremor adprehendit eos ibi dolores ut parturientis

48:7 With a vehement wind thou shalt break in pieces the ships of Tharsis.

48:7 in spiritu vehementi conteres naves Tharsis

48:8 As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever.

48:8 sicut audivimus sic vidimus in civitate Domini virtutum in civitate Dei nostri Deus fundavit eam in aeternum diapsalma

48:9 We have received thy mercy, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

48:9 suscepimus Deus misericordiam tuam in medio templi tui

48:10 According to thy name, O God, so also is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of justice.

48:10 secundum nomen tuum Deus sic et laus tua in fines terrae iustitia plena est dextera tua

48:11 Let mount Sion rejoice, and the daughters of Juda be glad; because of thy judgments, O Lord.

48:11 laetetur mons Sion exultent filiae Iudaeae propter iudicia tua

48:12 Surround Sion, and encompass her: tell lye in her towers.

48:12 circumdate Sion et conplectimini eam narrate in turribus eius

48:13 Set your hearts on her strength; and distribute her houses, that ye may relate it in another generation.

48:13 ponite corda vestra in virtute eius et distribuite domus eius ut enarretis in progeniem alteram

48:14 For this is God, our God unto eternity, and for ever and ever: he shall rule us for evermore.

48:14 quoniam hic est Deus Deus noster in aeternum et in saeculum saeculi ipse reget nos in saecula
