96:1 A canticle for David himself, when the house was built after the captivity. Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: sing to the Lord, all the earth.

96:1 Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied, singet dem HERRN, alle Lande!

96:2 Sing ye to the Lord and bless his name: shew forth his salvation from day to day.

96:2 Singt dem HERRN, preist seinen Namen, verkündet Tag für Tag sein Heil!

96:3 Declare his glory among the Gentiles: his wonders among all people.

96:3 Erzählt von seiner Herrlichkeit unter den Heiden, unter allen Völkern seine Wundertaten!

96:4 For the Lord is great, and exceedingly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

96:4 Denn groß ist der HERR und hoch zu preisen, mehr zu fürchten als alle andern Götter;

96:5 For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils: but the Lord made the heavens.

96:5 denn alle Götter der Heiden sind nichtige Götzen, doch der HERR hat den Himmel geschaffen.

96:6 Praise and beauty are before him: holiness and majesty in his sanctuary.

96:6 Hoheit und Pracht gehn vor ihm her, Macht und Herrlichkeit füllen sein Heiligtum.

96:7 Bring ye to the Lord, O ye kindreds of the Gentiles, bring ye to the Lord glory and honour:

96:7 Bringt dar dem HERRN, ihr Geschlechter der Völker, bringt dar dem HERRN Ehre und Preis!

96:8 Bring to the Lord glory unto his name. Bring up sacrifices, and come into his courts:

96:8 Bringt dar dem HERRN die Ehre seines Namens, bringt Opfergaben und kommt in seine Vorhöfe!

96:9 Adore ye the Lord in his holy court. Let all the earth be moved at his presence.

96:9 Werft vor dem HERRN euch nieder in heiligem Schmuck, erzittert vor ihm, alle Lande!

96:10 Say ye among the Gentiles, the Lord hath reigned. For he hath corrected the world, which shall not be moved: he will judge the people with justice.

96:10 Verkündet unter den Heiden: »Der HERR ist König! Und feststehn wird der Erdkreis, daß er nicht wankt; richten wird er die Völker nach Gebühr.«

96:11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad, let the sea be moved, and the fulness thereof:

96:11 Des freue sich der Himmel, die Erde jauchze, es brause das Meer und was darin wimmelt!

96:12 The fields and all things that are in them shall be joyful. Then shall all the trees of the woods rejoice

96:12 Es jauchze die Flur und was auf ihr wächst! Dann werden auch jubeln alle Bäume des Waldes

96:13 before the face of the Lord, because he cometh: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with his truth.

96:13 vor dem HERRN, wenn er kommt, wenn er kommt, zu richten die Erde. Richten wird er den Erdkreis mit Gerechtigkeit und die Völker mit seiner Treue.
