22:1 Dem Musikmeister, nach (der Singweise = Melodie) »Hirschkuh der Morgenröte«; ein Psalm von David.

22:1 O God my God, look upon me: why hast thou forsaken me? Far from my salvation are the words of my sins.

22:2 Mein Gott, mein Gott, warum hast du mich verlassen? Ach, fern von meiner Rettung bleiben die Worte meiner Klage!

22:2 O my God, I shall cry by day, and thou wilt not hear: and by night, and it shall not be reputed as folly in me.

22:3 Mein Gott! Ich rufe bei Tage, doch du antwortest nicht, und bei Nacht, doch Ruhe wird mir nicht zuteil!

22:3 But thou dwellest in the holy place, the praise of Israel.

22:4 Und doch bist du der Heilige, der da thront über Israels Lobgesängen.

22:4 In thee have our fathers hoped: they have hoped, and thou hast delivered them.

22:5 Auf dich haben unsre Väter vertraut, sie haben vertraut, und du hast ihnen ausgeholfen;

22:5 They cried to thee, and they were saved: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

22:6 zu dir haben sie geschrien und Rettung gefunden, auf dich haben sie vertraut und sind nicht enttäuscht worden.

22:6 But I am a worm, and no man: the reproach of men, and the outcast of the people.

22:7 Doch ich bin ein Wurm und kein Mensch mehr, bin der Leute Hohn und verachtet vom Volk;

22:7 All they that saw me have laughed me to scorn: they have spoken with the lips, and wagged the head.

22:8 alle, die mich sehen, spotten mein, reißen den Mund auf, schütteln den Kopf:

22:8 He hoped in the Lord, let him deliver him: let him save him, seeing he delighteth in him.

22:9 »Er werf’s auf den HERRN: der möge ihn befreien, der möge ihn retten: er hat ja Wohlgefallen an ihm!«

22:9 For thou art he that hast drawn me out of the womb: my hope from the breasts of my mother.

22:10 Ja du bist’s, der mich der Mutter gelegt in den Schoß, mich sicher geborgen an meiner Mutter Brust;

22:10 I was cast upon thee from the womb. From my mother's womb thou art my God,

22:11 von Geburt an bin ich auf dich geworfen, vom Schoß meiner Mutter her bist du mein Gott.

22:11 Depart not from me. For tribulation is very near: for there is none to help me.

22:12 O bleibe nicht fern von mir, denn die Drangsal ist nahe, und sonst ist kein Helfer zu sehen!

22:12 Many calves have surrounded me: fat bulls have besieged me.

22:13 Mich umzingeln mächtige Stiere, Basans Riesenfarren halten mich umringt;

22:13 They have opened their mouths against me, as a lion ravening and roaring.

22:14 den Rachen sperren sie gegen mich auf – ein reißender, brüllender Löwe!

22:14 I am poured out like water; and all my bones are scattered. My heart is become like wax melting in the midst of my bowels.

22:15 Wie Wasser bin ich ausgegossen, alle meine Glieder sind ausgerenkt; das Herz ist mir geworden wie Wachs, zerschmolzen in meinem Innern.

22:15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue hath cleaved to my jaws: and thou hast brought me down into the dust of death.

22:16 Vertrocknet wie eine Scherbe ist meine Kraft, und die Zunge klebt mir am Gaumen: in den Staub des Todes hast du mich gelegt.

22:16 For many dogs have encompassed me: the council of the malignant hath besieged me. They have dug my hands and feet.

22:17 Ach, Hunde umgeben mich rings, eine Rotte von Übeltätern umkreist mich; sie haben mir Hände und Füße durchbohrt.

22:17 They have numbered all my bones. And they have looked and stared upon me.

22:18 Alle meine Gebeine kann ich zählen: sie aber blicken mich an und weiden sich an dem Anblick.

22:18 They parted my garments amongst them; and upon my vesture they cast lots.

22:19 Sie teilen meine Kleider unter sich und werfen das Los um mein Gewand.

22:19 But thou, O Lord, remove not thy help to a distance from me; look towards my defence.

22:20 Doch du, HERR, bleibe nicht fern von mir, du, meine Stärke, eile mir zu Hilfe!

22:20 Deliver, O God, my soul from the sword: my only one from the hand of the dog.

22:21 Errette vor dem Schwert mein Leben, mein einziges Gut aus der Hunde Gewalt!

22:21 Save me from the lion's mouth; and my lowness from the horns of the unicorns.

22:22 Hilf mir aus dem Rachen des Löwen und bewahre mich vor den Hörnern der Büffel!

22:22 I will declare thy name to my brethren: in the midst of the church will I praise thee.

22:23 Dann will ich deinen Namen meinen Brüdern kundtun, inmitten der Gemeinde dich rühmen:

22:23 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him: all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him.

22:24 »Die den HERRN ihr fürchtet, preiset ihn! Ihr alle vom Hause Jakobs, ehret ihn und scheut euch vor ihm, ihr alle von Israels Stamm!

22:24 Let all the seed of Israel fear him: because he hath not slighted nor despised the supplication of the poor man. Neither hath he turned away his face form me: and when I cried to him he heard me.

22:25 Denn er hat nicht übersehen und nicht verabscheut das Elend des Dulders und sein Antlitz vor ihm nicht verborgen, nein, als er zu ihm schrie, auf ihn gehört.«

22:25 With thee is my praise in a great church: I will pay my vows in the sight of them that fear him.

22:26 Dir soll mein Loblied gelten in großer Gemeinde; meine Gelübde will ich erfüllen vor denen, die ihn fürchten.

22:26 The poor shall eat and shall be filled: and they shall praise the Lord that seek him: their hearts shall live for ever and ever.

22:27 Die Elenden sollen essen, daß sie satt werden, und die da suchen den HERRN, sollen ihn preisen: aufleben soll euer Herz für immer!

22:27 All the ends of the earth shall remember, and shall be converted to the Lord: And all the kindreds of the Gentiles shall adore in his sight.

22:28 Daran werden gedenken und zum HERRN sich bekehren alle Enden der Erde, und vor dir werden sich niederwerfen alle Geschlechter der Heiden;

22:28 For the kingdom is the Lord's; and he shall have dominion over the nations.

22:29 denn dem HERRN gehört die Herrschaft, und er ist der Völkergebieter.

22:29 All the fat ones of the earth have eaten and have adored: all they that go down to the earth shall fall before him.

22:30 Vor ihm werden niederfallen alle Großen der Erde, vor ihm die Knie beugen alle, die in den Erdstaub sinken und wer seine Seele nicht am Leben erhalten kann.

22:30 And to him my soul shall live: and my seed shall serve him.

22:31 Die Nachwelt wird ihm dienen; vom Allherrn wird man erzählen dem künft’gen Geschlecht.

22:31 There shall be declared to the Lord a generation to come: and the heavens shall shew forth his justice to a people that shall be born, which the Lord hath made.

22:32 Sie werden kommen und seine Gerechtigkeit kundtun dem nachgeborenen Volk, daß Er es vollführt hat.
